Why Iran?!

Have you ever heard about the eight years of imposing was between Iran and Saddam Hussein with full support of the whole world specially America? Has it ever happened to you before to think why? Why every powerful country in this world are united to eliminate this revolution? What are the characteristics of this revolution that makes it so different from the others? Why Iran is all over the news every day? “Iran is supporting terrorists, Iran is going to build nuclear bomb, there is no human right in Iran, new sanctions against Iran” and many more titles like that are running throw the media every day.

Where is this animosity originated from? Is this because we are Muslim? Saudi Arabia is Muslim so why are they the best comrade of the USA in Middle East? Is this because they are worried about the human rights? So why they equipped Saddam with chemical weapons to invade our cities and kill more than 18000 innocent people in 572 different chemical attacks and why they are still the main supporter of Saudi Arabia in killing the people of Yemen? Is this because we have reached nuclear knowledge to use only for clean energy as we have illustrated more than thousand times and not for military purposes? Come on, They all have nuclear bombs! They actually have all the nuclear bombs of the world in their hands. So what is it really that they are afraid of this revolution?

“Not east nor west! But Islamic republic” this is one of the slogans of this revolution which simply means we are not going to play on your field, we are building our own field to play in! This is what hostile and exploiting powers can’t abide.

Let’s see what the ideas of this revolution are in short and maybe will find our answer.

1)       Cultural and upbringing purposes

These are the most important thoughts of all ideas which completely influenced by teachings of Islam. The main purpose of Islamic government is to “raise righteous people” as far as Ayatollah Khomeini (RA) -the first leader of Islamic revolution- says:       “as much as an uncultured man could be a harmful damage to the society there is no evil creature and animal which can practice that much harm toward society and also as much as a well-educated man no angel can be this helpful. Education is the fundamental of creation” in this field we realize two dimensions, individual and social. In order to build a righteous society you have to raise righteous individuals first.” All worshiping acts are means for human to actualize his potentials and becomes the man of God” Ayatollah Khomeini (RA). In second dimension every member of the society sees other members as a unique entity which every one’s act can affect the whole system’s function. In this view you can’t be indifference toward other’s destiny so it’s every one’s duty to “promote virtue and prevent vice”. About this matter we have different quotes in our religion and literature.

Holy Qur’an:

                    “وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ”

Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity.                           (Aal-i-Imraan,104)

“يَا بُنَيَّ أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَانْهَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا أَصَابَكَ ۖ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ”

“O my son! Establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs. (Luqman,17)

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) reveals his designation reason:

(إنّما بُعِثْتُ لِأتَمِّمَ مَکارِمَ الأََخْلاقِ (میزان الحکمه، ج 1، ص 804

I have been designated as a prophet to perfect moral standards.

(Mizan-al-hekam volume1, page804)

Imam Ali (AS):

و کُنّا لا نَرجُو جَنَّةً ولا نَخشَی ناراً ولا ثَواباً ولا عِقاباً لَکانَ یَنبَغِی لَنا أن نُطالِبَ بِمَکارِمِ الأخلاقِ؛ فإنَّها ممّا تَدُلُّ علی سَبیلِ النَّجاحِ. مستدرک الوسائل، ج 11، ص 193

Even if we do not have hope of Paradise, fear of Fire, and waiting for reward or punishment, it is proper to follow the moral characters, for these are of things that show the way of success. (Mostadrak-Al-Vasael, V11, page193)

A famous Farsi poem from Saadi:

بنی آدم اعضای یکدیگرند                              که در آفرينش ز یک گوهرند

Human beings are members of a whole

In creation of one essence and soul

چو عضوى به درد آورد روزگار                          دگر عضوها را نماند قرار

If one member is afflicted with pain

Other members uneasy will remain

تو کز محنت دیگران بی غمی                                 نشاید که نامت نهند آدمی

If you’ve no sympathy for human pain

The name of human you cannot retain

And Imam Hussain (AS) describes the reason of his battle with Yazid in this way:

 اني لم اخرج اشرا و لا بطرا و لامفسدا و لاظالما انما خرجت لطلب الاصلاح في امة جدي و اريد ان امر با لمعروف و انهي عن المنكر

“I did not rise up for the cause of wickedness, amusement, corruption or oppression, but I rose up to reform the Muslim community of my grandfather [Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)]. I want to promote virtue and prevent vice.”

2) Political purposes

“Islamic republic retains total independency. We want Islamic state. Republic is the form and Islam is the content which is God’s orders” Ayatollah Khomeini.

I know, maybe you say do you really intend to rule a modern county based on a religion from 1400 years ago? Has your religion even defined the word politic?! Take your prayers to the church! I don’t think it’s possible …

First of all, it is possible! Because we have proved it during these 38 years of our Islamic republic times. Second of all don’t worry about the antiquity of this religion! Present your political questions (and also other questions) to it, get you answer, compare this answer with other answers from other thoughts and also your own logic and you’re done! You be the judge for yourself. About transparency laws for instance, there are numerous legislation approving these days especially for higher officials to disclose all their wealth before and after their responsibility but look at the excellent example of this matter in 1400 years ago in Imam Ali’s (AS) behavior. When he was chosen by people as the governor he declared “look at Ali- ibne- Abitaleb who comes with this horse and this clothe so he should go with the same horse and same clothe”

Imam Ali (AS)

Even if you don’t believe in afterlife- mostly all of Islam’s rules are for the redemption of that time- with a complete materialistic view you are still able to use these rules only for this earthen life and see how efficient and impressive they are! I promise. Because we believe that the one who has created us knows us better so he should have the best answers for his creatures. On the other hand the same entity has given this man the power of choice which means he can choose between things but sometimes he chooses to act like an AH and say “don’t worry about my life I got this!” and we are facing the world that we are dealing with right now! This process will continue till the time that we test our last theories and fail, make the situation worst, come back with shame and despair and beg for sending the last savior. And third, you take your prayers to the church! We take our prayers to the mosque …! (JK)

Imam Mahdi (AJ):

 أنَا بَقِیَّةُ اللهِ فی أرْضِهِ وَخَلیفَتُهُ وَحُجَّتُهُ عَلَیْکُم. کمال الدین و تمام النعمه، ص _331

I am Allah’s reserved bless and mercy and His successor on the earth and His evidence for you. (Kamal-Adin va tamam-A-Nemah, page331)

Imam Ali (AS):

وَبِمَهْدِیِّنا تَنْقَطِعُ الحُجَجُ، فَهُوَ خاتَمُ الأئِمَّةِ وَمُنْقِذُ الأمَّةِ وَمُنْتَهَی النُّورِ وَغامِضُ السِّرِّ. بحار الأنوار، ج 77، ص 300

With Our Mahdī (‘s appearance), all proofs would be broken; for he is the last Imam, the savior of the ‘Ummah, and the highest point of light, and has a recondite secret. (Bahar-Al-Anvar V77, page 300)

3) Economic purposes

Holy Qur’an:

       وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ. النجم 39

That man can have nothing but what he strives for. (Al-Najm39)

“Islamic economy” is something different from capitalism or socialism it is based on justice and fulfillment of this economic justice is the final purpose in this ground. Note that these efforts to make a rich and mighty society are just means to actualize the fundamental goal which is monotheism. So it’s not making money to spend more money. It is making money to improve spiritual growth better and satisfying people’s need in proper ways.

“I hope Islamic state establishes in Iran to reveal the benefits of Islamic government to human being. For him to understand how Islam works first, how does justice perform in it and to see there is no difference between the life of people and their leader. This kind of government is unprecedented” Ayatollah Khomeini.

So is it clear now?! Did you see the root of difference between east and west point of view? They are completely against each other. Islamic rules won’t allow any society to owns its 80 percent of wealth only by 20 percent of its population, they won’t let any government to invade other countries and exploit them with the excuse of fighting terrorism, they won’t allow their leaders to live in golden towers while people are starving to death in Africa, they won’t allow them to destroy a whole city with nuclear bomb and kill thousands of innocent people. It’s their interests which are in danger and they are fighting only to serve them.

Imam Sadegh (AS):

حُبُّ الدُّنْیا رَأسُ کُلِّ خَطیِئَةِ. بحار الأنوار، ج 74

The love of this [material] world is the origin of all vices. (Bahar-Al-Anvar,V74)

I’m sure you are all aware of the ethical bases in liberalism, humanism, socialism, materialism and many more Isms like those that only consider human being as a consumer who should only be worried about his interests.

Fighting terrorism!

Wrong way!

You see, gathering a savage terrorist group with a bunch of empty headed maniacs growing beard from their chin down to their bellies carrying black flags with the name of Allah seems to be the dumbest attempt to spoil the picture of Islam but unfortunately looks like it worked for them. They hit two birds with one stone! Devastating an ideology with phony version of itself by making and supporting terrorist groups in the name of Islam who surprisingly only kill other Muslims! Secondly bold and substitute this fake version with the original one. That’s when media plays its roll. I got to say they are the masters of making confusion by mixing true and false together in order to submit their definition of things on your mind.

So in the era of confusions you have to seek the light among all these fogs, it is only the light that can “enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil ”
